About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to support the planning and execution of sports events in Cambridge . This role is integral to ensuring seamless event delivery, from initial concept to post-event evaluation, contributing to the vibrancy of the local Leisure & Sports scene. You will work closely with various stakeholders, manage logistics, and help create memorable experiences for participants and spectators. The hybrid nature of this role offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and organization of various sports events, including scheduling, venue coordination, and logistics.
- Liaise with internal teams, external vendors, and participants to ensure all event requirements are met.
- Manage event documentation, including permits, licenses, and risk assessments.
- Support on-site event management, overseeing aspects such as registration, setup, and attendee services.
- Assist with marketing and promotional activities for events.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and preparing reports.
Requirements
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination, preferably within the sports or events industry.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A relevant qualification or degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is beneficial.
