About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and enthusiastic Farm Hand to support their mixed farming operation in Brighton . This is a comprehensive role, involving both livestock care and crop cultivation, offering a broad range of agricultural experiences. You will be involved in the daily feeding and welfare of animals, as well as assisting with seasonal crop work, from planting to harvesting. This position requires a practical, hard-working individual who enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions and is keen to contribute to the smooth running of a busy farm. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily care and feeding of livestock, ensuring their health and welfare.
• Perform general farm maintenance tasks, including fencing, equipment upkeep, and yard cleaning.
• Support crop production activities such as planting, weeding, spraying, and harvesting.
• Operate farm machinery and vehicles safely and competently.
• Follow farm biosecurity and health and safety procedures meticulously.

Requirements

• Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar practical, outdoor environment is highly desirable.
• A genuine interest in agriculture, with experience in either livestock or crop management.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of farm machinery operation and maintenance.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a small team.
