Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance department in Leeds . This senior role is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will provide critical financial leadership, ensuring the company's financial health and compliance with all statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and implement robust internal control systems and ensure compliance with UK financial regulations .
• Manage the company's budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes.
• Provide financial leadership and strategic advice to senior management.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance management role.
• Extensive knowledge of financial reporting standards (UK GAAP /IFRS) and corporate finance.
• Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with financial systems and ERP software.
