About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and operational efficiency of their diverse vehicle fleet based in Plymouth . This crucial role involves managing a team of mechanics, scheduling preventative maintenance, overseeing repairs, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for the entire fleet.
• Manage and motivate a team of mechanics and maintenance staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
• Oversee all vehicle repairs, ensuring they are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and vehicle service history.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet management or a senior role within automotive maintenance and repair.
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, maintenance procedures, and diagnostic techniques across various vehicle types.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fleet maintenance software and cost control strategies.
• A commitment to upholding high standards of vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
• A full UK driving licence is required, with a clean record preferred.
