Freight Forwarder

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Freight Forwarder to manage the international and domestic movement of goods for their Liverpool -based operations. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing documentation, liaising with carriers, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products. You will play a crucial part in streamlining the supply chain and providing excellent service to clients. This position requires a deep understanding of international trade regulations, shipping procedures, and a strong ability to navigate complex logistics challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage the transportation of goods via sea, air, and road freight.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
• Communicate with carriers, customs brokers, and clients to ensure smooth transit and delivery.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to all stakeholders.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar international logistics role.
• In-depth knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
• Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and relevant logistics platforms.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with different modes of transport (sea, air, road) is essential.
