Freight Forwarder

About the Role

Our client is looking for an organized and communicative Freight Forwarder to join their international logistics team in Liverpool . In this role, you will manage the end-to-end process of shipping goods internationally, coordinating with carriers, customs agents, and clients to ensure smooth and timely transit. You will handle all necessary documentation and resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process. This position is vital for maintaining efficient global supply chains and requires a sharp mind for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a complex and regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage international shipments via air, sea, and road freight.
• Prepare and process all required shipping documentation, including customs declarations and bills of lading.
• Liaise with clients, overseas agents, airlines, and shipping lines to coordinate shipments.
• Track shipments, provide updates to stakeholders, and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and strive for cost-effectiveness in all freight operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in freight forwarding or international logistics.
• Solid understanding of international shipping procedures, documentation, and customs regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
