About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement seasonal planting plans for gardens, borders, and grounds, focusing on biodiversity and aesthetic appeal.
• Manage all aspects of plant care, including propagation, pruning, pest and disease control, and soil improvement.
• Supervise and train a team of gardeners and groundskeepers, assigning tasks and ensuring quality of work.
• Operate and maintain horticultural equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with landscape designers and estate managers on long-term garden development projects.
• Maintain detailed records of plant collections, treatments, and inventory.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Horticulture, Landscape Design, or a related field.
• Significant experience in garden management and plant care, with a strong knowledge of diverse plant species.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a horticultural team.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining horticultural machinery and tools.
• Experience with integrated pest management and sustainable gardening practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
