HR Advisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join their dynamic Human Resources team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial in providing essential HR support across the organisation, assisting with the day-to-day operations of the HR department and ensuring smooth implementation of HR policies and procedures. You will work closely with employees and management to address HR queries, support recruitment efforts, and contribute to a positive and compliant workplace culture, making a tangible impact on employee relations and operational efficiency within the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers, addressing queries on policies, procedures, and terms of employment.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including advertising vacancies, screening CVs, and coordinating interviews.
• Support the performance management cycle and employee development initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
• Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, under guidance.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor role or a strong foundation in HR support.
• Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
