Industrial Engineer - Manufacturing Systems

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing systems, including production lines, material flow, and equipment utilization.
• Design and implement improved workflows and layouts using principles of lean manufacturing and systems engineering.
• Develop and manage project plans for system upgrades and new technology introductions.
• Conduct time studies, ergonomic assessments, and capacity planning to maximize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing systems and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues affecting production output and quality in Portsmouth .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a specific focus on manufacturing systems.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing , Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and relevant simulation software.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
