Industrial Engineer - Operations Improvement

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Industrial Engineer to join their team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands , focusing on driving significant improvements in operational efficiency and productivity. This role is crucial for analyzing existing processes, identifying areas of waste and inefficiency, and implementing practical, data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing and operational processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction.
• Design and implement solutions using Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process optimization techniques.
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish realistic performance metrics and targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of improvements.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on the effectiveness of implemented changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in an industrial engineering or process improvement role.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and process modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
