About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join their team in Bristol , with a primary focus on supply chain optimization. In this role, you will analyze and improve all aspects of the supply chain, from raw material procurement to final product delivery, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely execution. You will leverage advanced analytical techniques and operational best practices to identify bottlenecks, streamline logistics, and enhance inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to implement impactful changes within a fast-paced industrial environment in Bristol .
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement optimized logistics, warehousing, and transportation strategies.
- Develop and manage inventory control systems to minimize holding costs while ensuring product availability.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and distribution teams to ensure seamless flow of goods.
- Utilize data analytics and simulation tools to model and improve supply chain performance.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations and monitor performance regularly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a specialization in supply chain operations.
- Proven expertise in logistics optimization, inventory management, and network design.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Experience working within the industrial sector in the South West England region, ideally near Bristol .
