About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Process Engineer to join their established team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute to significant operational improvements. You will be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and implementing advanced manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Working closely with production teams and management, you will identify opportunities for optimization and drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Design and implement new production line layouts and workflows to optimize material and information flow.
- Develop and execute process validation plans and documentation for new or modified manufacturing systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations on process performance and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in a similar industrial or manufacturing engineering role.
- Strong understanding of process optimization techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing on-site and remote work effectively.
