About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Industrial Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Birmingham . You will be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to production processes, ensuring optimal performance and product quality. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and potential areas for improvement using tools like Value Stream Mapping.
- Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Design and optimize plant layouts, material flow, and workstation ergonomics to enhance productivity and safety.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with production staff, quality assurance, and management to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in new product introduction processes, ensuring manufacturability and efficient ramp-up.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of Lean principles, Six Sigma tools, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with CAD software for layout design and process flow charting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
