Industrial Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Industrial Process Engineer to join their operations team in Birmingham . This role offers a hybrid working model, combining on-site collaboration with remote flexibility. You will be instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and implementing cutting-edge engineering solutions within manufacturing environments. This position requires a proactive individual with a solid understanding of process improvement methodologies and the ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for efficiency improvements.
• Design, test, and implement new production methods and process improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment or technology to enhance process capabilities and reduce operational costs.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflow and workforce productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, focusing on process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficiency with relevant software such as CAD, simulation tools, and data analysis software.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a systematic approach to identifying root causes.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration in a hybrid setting.
