Industrial Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Process Engineer to enhance operational efficiency at their facility in Coventry, West Midlands . This role is critical in refining manufacturing processes, reducing waste, and improving overall productivity. You will play a key role in analyzing existing operations, implementing lean methodologies, and collaborating with production teams to achieve business objectives. This hybrid position offers a blend of on-site process analysis and remote strategic planning, providing a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
• Implement and champion lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban.
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
• Analyze production data to monitor performance and identify trends or deviations requiring intervention.
• Work closely with production staff to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to the design and layout of new production lines or modifications to existing ones.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in process improvement within a manufacturing setting.
• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis and performance metric tracking.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for interacting with diverse teams.
