About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives from their Milton Keynes office. This leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing the company's information security strategy, managing the security team, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with senior management to assess and mitigate risks, implement effective security controls, and foster a security-aware culture across the organization. This is a challenging and rewarding position for a proven security leader.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the overall information security strategy and roadmap.
Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering their growth and development.
Oversee risk assessments, incident response planning, and the implementation of security policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards.
Manage security budgets and vendor relationships effectively.
Report on the company's security posture to executive leadership and the board.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Significant experience (7+ years) in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity frameworks , risk management, and compliance.
Strong understanding of technical security controls, network security, and application security.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing security operations and incident response is essential.
