Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Information Security Manager to lead their security efforts. This is a fully remote position, ideal for an experienced security leader who excels in managing comprehensive security programs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, overseeing risk management, ensuring compliance, and responding to incidents. This role requires a proactive approach to safeguarding the organization's digital assets and maintaining a strong security posture in a distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an overarching information security strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee the organization's risk management framework, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
• Manage security operations, incident response, and business continuity planning.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual security requirements.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security into all aspects of operations.
• Manage security awareness training programs for all employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are highly preferred.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in information security management, with a proven track record of leading security programs.
• Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, incident response, security architecture, and compliance.
• Strong understanding of security technologies, including SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Proven ability to manage teams and projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience with cloud security principles and best practices.
