About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join their team in Manchester . This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of stock levels within the warehouse. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and identifying discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of warehouse operations to ensure optimal stock management and minimize losses.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate data entry into the inventory system.
• Monitor stock levels, forecast future needs, and recommend adjustments to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures across the warehouse floor.
• Generate reports on inventory accuracy, stock turnover, and shrinkage for management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory control , stock management, or a similar warehouse role.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices for stock management.
• Ability to perform physical counts and lift moderate weight when necessary.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
