About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join their logistics operations in Manchester . This role is critical for maintaining accurate stock levels, implementing effective inventory management procedures, and minimizing stock discrepancies. You will be responsible for conducting regular audits, investigating variances, and contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the supply chain, ensuring that products are available when and where they are needed. This position requires a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory levels and physical stock.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, obsolescence, and damage.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overstock situations, recommending adjustments.
- Work closely with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure efficient stock rotation and put-away processes.
- Generate reports on inventory status, variance analysis, and stock movement for management review.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory control , stock management, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and data entry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform accurate physical counts and reconcile inventory data.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain principles.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with different teams regarding stock matters.
