About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels at their facility in Oxford . This role is vital for ensuring the integrity of stock data, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating stock variances, implementing control measures, and working closely with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock availability. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of inventory management principles to contribute to operational efficiency in a key role within the Oxford area.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical stock.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential issues such as obsolescence or overstocking.
- Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams to manage stock movements and adjustments.
- Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and variances for management review.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Inventory Control , stock management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (IMS) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain principles.
