Junior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Industrial Engineer to join their growing team in Liverpool, Merseyside . This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in optimizing manufacturing and operational processes. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to projects focused on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality. This hybrid position allows for a blend of in-office collaboration and focused work, providing a solid foundation for a career in industrial engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in analyzing production processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques on the shop floor.
• Help develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Conduct data collection and basic analysis for performance monitoring and reporting.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to contribute to problem-solving efforts.
• Learn and apply principles of workflow optimization, ergonomics, and facility layout.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Some internship or co-op experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Strong eagerness to learn and develop skills in process analysis and optimization.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
