About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to join their innovative security team, working remotely. This senior role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions that protect the organization's digital infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats.
- Develop and implement advanced security controls, policies, and procedures across the organization.
- Oversee and guide the implementation of security tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
- Conduct thorough security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate risks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of cybersecurity engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure management.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior architect role.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), network security, and application security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools for security tasks.
- Strong understanding of threat modeling, risk assessment, and incident response frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, crucial for effective remote teamwork and technical guidance.
