About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer with a specialization in Power Systems to join their expanding operations in Birmingham . This leadership position is crucial for driving innovation and excellence in the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust power infrastructure. You will lead a team of talented engineers, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems that are vital to our operations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and execution of large-scale power system projects.
- Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, overseeing their workload and professional development.
- Perform advanced power system analysis, including load flow, short-circuit, and stability studies.
- Develop and implement strategies for enhancing power system efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies, to ensure project success and compliance.
- Conduct site surveys, technical reviews, and risk assessments for new and existing power installations in Birmingham .
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Expertise in power system design software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E) and proficiency in relevant programming languages.
- In-depth knowledge of grid integration, renewable energy systems, and high-voltage equipment.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or eligibility is highly desirable.
