Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of power system performance, stability, and security, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.
- Develop and refine sophisticated load forecasting models to predict future energy demand with high accuracy.
- Oversee the simulation and impact assessment of new generation sources, such as renewables and battery storage, on the grid.
- Manage a team of power systems analysts, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and industry partners to ensure compliance and contribute to policy development.

Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in power systems analysis, operations, or planning.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing technical teams.
- In-depth knowledge of power flow, transient stability, and short-circuit analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory).
- Strong understanding of power system economics, market operations, and regulatory frameworks in the UK energy sector .
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong communication and presentation abilities.
