About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and organized Leisure & Events Manager to oversee the diverse recreational offerings and event planning for their facilities in Reading . This role requires a creative individual with a strong operational background, capable of managing both ongoing leisure programs and bespoke events. You will be responsible for developing engaging activities, managing event logistics from conception to execution, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction across all leisure and event-related services. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage a variety of leisure activities and events, including corporate functions, parties, and community gatherings.
• Develop innovative leisure program ideas to cater to diverse interests and age groups.
• Manage event budgets, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure smooth logistical execution.
• Oversee staffing for events and leisure programs, including recruitment, training, and supervision.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote leisure activities and event services.
• Ensure all events and leisure activities comply with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management and leisure program coordination.
• Strong organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.
