Logistics Coordinator - FMCG Supply Chain

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator to join their remote operations team, managing the transportation and delivery aspects of their FMCG supply chain . This role is vital for ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to customers, coordinating with carriers, optimizing routes, and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise. You will be instrumental in maintaining the smooth flow of products through the supply chain, working closely with internal teams and external logistics partners to uphold service levels and meet delivery deadlines in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments of FMCG products.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Track shipments, monitor delivery progress, and provide real-time updates to stakeholders.
• Resolve logistical issues and exceptions promptly and effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and documentation requirements.
• Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role within supply chain and logistics, preferably in FMCG .
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, shipping documentation, and customs procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, crucial for a remote role.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with inventory management principles is a plus.
