Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their busy team in Birmingham . This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, coordinating shipments, and managing carrier relationships. You will play a key part in maintaining our supply chain integrity, tracking shipments, and resolving any logistical challenges that arise, working closely with various internal teams and external partners to guarantee timely deliveries and efficient operations, all while contributing to a collaborative and results-driven atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Track shipments, monitor delivery progress, and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to manage transportation arrangements.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistical activities and update relevant databases and systems.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments (sales, warehouse, customer service) regarding shipment status.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics , supply chain, or transportation role.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication and negotiation skills with carriers and stakeholders.
