About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Logistics Planner to manage and optimize their transportation and delivery schedules. This is a fully remote position, requiring excellent communication and coordination skills to ensure the efficient movement of goods across various locations. You will be responsible for planning routes, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery. This role is critical for maintaining supply chain integrity and customer satisfaction, operating within a virtual team structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily routes for delivery vehicles, optimizing for efficiency and cost.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth transit of goods.
• Manage carrier relationships, negotiating rates and monitoring performance against SLAs.
• Track shipments in real-time and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Utilize logistics software to manage schedules, generate reports, and analyze performance data.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics planning or transportation coordination.
• Familiarity with route planning software and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Strong understanding of UK road networks and transportation regulations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for remote collaboration.
