About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Logistics Planner to optimize their supply chain operations based in Bradford . This role is central to ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods, involving route planning, carrier management, and performance monitoring. You will work closely with various stakeholders to forecast demand, manage schedules, and resolve logistical challenges. The ideal candidate possesses strong numerical skills and a strategic approach to problem-solving, contributing significantly to the company's logistical efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize transportation plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Manage relationships with carriers, negotiating contracts and monitoring service levels.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and procurement teams to align logistics plans with business needs.
• Monitor shipments, track progress, and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and documentation requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or supply chain coordination.
• Strong understanding of logistics principles, routing software, and carrier operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
