About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Logistics Planner to manage and optimize our transportation and delivery networks from a remote capacity. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across our supply chain. You will be responsible for planning routes, managing carrier relationships, and analysing logistics data to identify areas for improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule domestic and international shipments, optimizing routes and transit times.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Analyse logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain accurate logistics documentation, including shipping manifests and customs paperwork.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, customer service) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of logistics plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong understanding of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international logistics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in logistics planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage remote relationships effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
