About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their dedicated production team in Portsmouth . This role is vital for ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for analyzing production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity and reduce waste. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization.
- Implement and refine Lean Manufacturing techniques, including 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure the effective implementation of process changes and new technologies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or process engineering role.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with process improvement methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with CAD software and production management systems is an advantage.
