Our client is seeking a dedicated Marine Electrical Engineer to contribute to their operations based in Plymouth, Devon . Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement electrical power, lighting, and control systems for marine applications.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, classification society rules, and industry best practices.
- Manage the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment on vessels and offshore structures.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex marine electrical systems.
- Collaborate with naval architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, reports, and maintenance plans.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant marine technology qualification.
- Experience in the maritime industry or offshore sector, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Knowledge of marine power generation, distribution, propulsion systems, and navigation electronics.
- Familiarity with relevant maritime standards and certifications.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools.
- Ability to work effectively in both office and on-board vessel environments.
