About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and results-driven Mine Operations Superintendent to lead their operational activities in Nottingham . This critical leadership role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of all mining production activities. You will manage a diverse team of supervisors and operational staff, ensuring targets are met while upholding the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of mining processes, and the ability to make decisive actions in a challenging operational environment. Your base will be our Nottingham facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily mining operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling.
- Develop and manage operational budgets and resource allocation.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, engineering, and geology, to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in mine operations management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of mining methods, equipment, and production optimization techniques.
