Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee their logistics and distribution operations in Norwich . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods, managing warehouse activities, and optimizing the supply chain. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day logistics and distribution operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
- Lead and develop a team of warehouse and logistics staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Implement and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the distribution center.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery times, inventory accuracy, and operational costs.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure seamless flow of goods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics and distribution operations management.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to logistics operations.
- Experience in the Norwich area or nearby regions is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
