This role is crucial for understanding the origin, migration, and accumulation of hydrocarbons within various geological settings. You will leverage sophisticated analytical techniques and interpret complex geochemical data to de-risk exploration prospects and support asset development strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret organic and inorganic geochemical data from source rocks, oils, and natural gases.
• Determine the origin, maturity, and migration pathways of hydrocarbons in exploration basins.
• Integrate geochemical data with geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering information.
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques and software for geochemical modeling and interpretation.
• Provide expert geochemical input for exploration play fairway analysis and prospect evaluation.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and technical mentorship within the remote geoscience community.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Geochemistry, Organic Geochemistry, or a related Earth Science field.
• Significant experience (8+ years) in petroleum geochemistry, with a strong publication record.
• Expertise in analytical techniques such as GC-MS, LC-MS, Rock-Eval, and stable isotope analysis.
• Proficiency in geochemical modeling software and data interpretation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex projects remotely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical findings globally.
