About the Role
Our client, a global pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a vigilant Pharmacovigilance Officer to join their safety team in Plymouth . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for monitoring the safety of pharmaceutical products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring the collection, detection, assessment, and prevention of adverse effects. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and evaluate adverse event reports from various sources, ensuring timely regulatory reporting.
- Conduct literature reviews to identify potential safety signals and emerging risks.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) and Risk Management Plans (RMPs).
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities, and internal departments on safety-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations and internal company procedures.
- Support safety data analysis and risk-benefit assessments for assigned products.
Requirements
- Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Previous experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety within the pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements for pharmacovigilance (e.g., GVP modules, FDA regulations).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in adverse event reporting systems and databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
