About the Role
Our client seeks a dedicated Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join their vital operations in Sunderland . Key Responsibilities
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability analyses for power systems.
- Design and specify components for high-voltage substations , transmission lines, and distribution networks.
- Develop protection schemes and coordinate relays for power system fault protection.
- Contribute to the integration of renewable energy sources (solar, wind) into the grid.
- Conduct site surveys and provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases.
- Ensure all designs comply with national and international power system standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in power system analysis and design.
- Proficiency with power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
- Strong understanding of grid codes, protection principles, and substation design .
- Experience with renewable energy integration studies is highly desirable.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
