About the Role
Our client is looking for an innovative and analytical Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Cardiff . You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and a passion for continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and R&D, to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and methodologies into the company's manufacturing operations, playing a key role in their strategic growth in Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Develop and implement new process designs, including equipment selection, layout, and operational procedures.
- Conduct process capability studies and implement statistical process control (SPC) methods.
- Troubleshoot process issues, investigate root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Lead process improvement projects from conception through to implementation and validation.
- Collaborate with R&D to scale up new product designs into manufacturable processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial).
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques , Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information clearly.
