About the Role
Our client is looking for an innovative and analytical Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Cardiff . You will play a key role in optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs. This position requires a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application to enhance manufacturing workflows. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement process improvements and ensure that production lines operate at peak performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex manufacturing challenges within a dynamic Welsh industrial landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and waste.
- Conduct feasibility studies and pilot tests for new process implementations.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure successful process integration and operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of process simulation and modeling software.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
