Process Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) programs .
• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and FMEA studies.
• Investigate process safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK and international safety regulations and standards.
• Develop and deliver process safety training to operational and engineering staff.
• Maintain safety-critical equipment integrity programs and emergency response planning.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety engineering, preferably within the chemical or petrochemical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HAZOP methodologies and risk assessment techniques.
• Familiarity with SIL (Safety Integrity Level) assessments and LOPA studies.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation such as COMAH regulations.
