About the Role
Our client, a major chemical processing company, is actively recruiting for a dedicated Process Safety Engineer to join their expanding team, offering a fully remote working arrangement. This critical role will focus on ensuring the highest standards of process safety across all operational sites, safeguarding employees, the environment, and the company's assets. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing robust safety management systems and procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's process safety management (PSM) system.
- Conduct and lead process hazard analyses (PHAs), HAZOP studies, and LOPA assessments.
- Investigate process safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Develop and deliver process safety training programs to relevant personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant process safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety engineering, with a strong understanding of PSM principles.
- Proficiency in conducting PHAs and HAZOP studies.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., COMAH, Seveso III).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, comfortable working remotely.
