About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Property Development Manager to oversee a pipeline of exciting projects in and around Portsmouth . This key role involves managing all phases of the development lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and site acquisition through to construction, marketing, and final handover. You will coordinate with a range of stakeholders, including architects, contractors, local authorities, and sales teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for strategic remote planning and vital on-site project supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end property development process , from inception to completion.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and financial viability analyses.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling, ensuring timely delivery.
- Appoint and manage external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all developments comply with planning regulations, building codes, and health & safety standards.
- Coordinate marketing and sales efforts for completed developments.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including investors, local authorities, and community groups.
Requirements
- Significant experience (5+ years) in property development management .
- Strong understanding of the development process, construction methods, and planning legislation.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering residential and/or commercial development projects.
- Excellent project management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage a hybrid workload, balancing strategic remote oversight with hands-on site management.
