Remote Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Remote Accountant to join their fully remote finance department, serving clients across the UK from their operational hub. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns.
• Support with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with remote team members and clients via digital communication tools.
• Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency in remote accounting operations.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to diverse business types.
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks Online).
• Strong understanding of VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, essential for remote work.
