About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Remote Aviation Technical Writer to create clear, concise, and accurate documentation for a global audience, supporting their operations based in Glasgow . You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a range of technical documents, including manuals, procedures, and guides, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and user needs. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable content, all within a flexible, home-based setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and review technical documentation, including aircraft maintenance manuals, flight crew operating procedures, and training materials.
- Collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts, and regulatory specialists to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
- Develop content that adheres to industry standards (e.g., ATA iSpec 2200) and company style guides.
- Manage the documentation lifecycle, including revisions, updates, and version control.
- Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, user-friendly, and compliant with relevant aviation regulations.
- Organize and maintain a central repository for all technical documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer , preferably within the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Demonstrated ability to write and edit complex technical content for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with aviation terminology, aircraft systems, and regulatory documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in documentation authoring tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker) and content management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective remote teamwork.
