Remote Chief Geologist - Global Exploration

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Chief Geologist to lead their global mineral exploration initiatives. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for defining the company's exploration strategy, managing a portfolio of international projects, and ensuring the discovery of world-class mineral deposits. You will provide high-level technical direction, mentor a global team of geologists, and work closely with executive leadership to guide the company's growth and resource pipeline. This position requires exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of geology, independent of a fixed office location.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global exploration strategy and identify new target areas.
• Oversee geological teams and exploration programs across multiple international jurisdictions.
• Provide expert technical guidance on exploration methodologies, geological interpretation, and prospectivity analysis.
• Manage exploration budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
• Liaise with senior management, investors, and regulatory bodies regarding exploration activities and discoveries.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, with a proven track record of significant discoveries.
• Extensive experience in leading and managing large-scale international exploration projects.
• Deep understanding of various deposit types, exploration techniques, and geological modeling.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills, critical for a remote leadership role .
