Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the detailed design of civil engineering infrastructure, including drainage, roads, and earthworks, for various project types.
- Develop and review technical documentation, including reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications suitable for remote submission and approval.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK engineering standards, environmental regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams via digital communication channels to ensure project alignment and success.
- Utilize digital tools for project management, collaboration, and progress tracking, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to bid preparation and proposal development for new infrastructure projects, showcasing technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven experience as a Civil Engineer, with a strong focus on infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in relevant civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PDS, MicroDrainage).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to manage workloads independently and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.
- Familiarity with UK civil engineering codes of practice and statutory requirements.
