Remote Claims Handler - Motor Insurance

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Claims Handler to manage motor insurance claims for their UK-wide customer base. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from home while providing essential support to policyholders during what can be a stressful time. You will be responsible for managing claims efficiently and empathetically, ensuring a fair outcome while upholding the company's high standards of service and adherence to regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Handle a portfolio of motor insurance claims from first notification of loss (FNOL) through to settlement.
• Conduct thorough investigations into claims, verifying policy cover and assessing liability.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with policyholders, third parties, and repairers.
• Negotiate settlements with relevant parties, working towards efficient and fair resolutions.
• Appoint and manage third-party suppliers such as engineers and solicitors when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claim activities within the claims management system.

Requirements

• Previous experience in handling insurance claims, specifically motor claims, is essential.
• Good understanding of motor insurance policies, the claims process, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks in a remote setting.
