About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Remote Construction Estimator to join their forward-thinking team, supporting projects across the UK. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for accurately calculating the costs associated with construction projects, from initial bid preparation to final budget analysis. Your expertise will be crucial in providing competitive and reliable costings that enable informed decision-making for a variety of building and infrastructure endeavors, contributing significantly to the company's bidding success and profitability, all while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Calculate the costs of raw materials, labor, equipment, and overhead for construction projects.
• Conduct site visits (as required, or leverage remote tools) to assess project requirements and potential challenges.
• Prepare bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
• Maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage remote collaboration.
