About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Construction Planner to join their forward-thinking organization. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing construction project schedules, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery from a remote setting. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of construction processes. By collaborating closely with project managers and site teams via digital platforms, you will play a crucial role in forecasting, resource allocation, and risk mitigation, ensuring projects run smoothly and meet their objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction schedules using planning software, considering all project phases and dependencies.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to gather progress updates and forecast completion dates.
- Prepare schedule-related reports, including critical path analysis, resource histograms, and look-ahead schedules.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within the schedule and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure the effective allocation and utilization of resources (labour, materials, equipment).
- Maintain and update project schedules in real-time based on site feedback and changing conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills suitable for remote teamwork.
