About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Fleet Operations Manager to oversee their national fleet operations from anywhere in the UK, with a strong focus on their operations hub in Glasgow . This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage logistics and driver coordination entirely from your home office. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, efficient execution, and continuous improvement of fleet performance, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of modern fleet management technologies and best practices, working closely with a distributed team to maintain seamless operations across diverse geographical areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing fleet efficiency, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules nationwide.
- Manage and mentor a remote team of dispatchers and fleet coordinators.
- Oversee the scheduling and routing of vehicles to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Utilize fleet management software to monitor vehicle performance, driver behavior, and operational metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
